The E-mail Newsletter has been sent to all members who have listed
e-mail addresses. We have 135 e-mail addresses for the 180 newsletters we mail
each month. If your mailing label is RED, I do not have an e-mail address for
you. If you have a current e-mail address listed you should also receive an
e-mailed copy of this Newsletter. On the e-mail version you will see Click here in
various paragraphs. It is a link to the
corresponding item on the ACGFA Web-Site page. If you do not receive the
e-mail, then I do not have a good address for you or you do not use e-mail. If
you do have an address but did not receive the newsletter, please send a
message to editor@acgfa.com

acknowledge receipt and you should then receive future e-mail newsletters.
Christmas Party:
Anyone
that missed the party missed a great time. There were many members, children and guests
there, and, of course Santa and Mrs. Claus. Many thanks to Harry and Marie Frantz and
to Stephanie Burt, Donna Frantz, and
their helpers for making Santa’s visit a great time for the children (young
and old). Thanks to James Manucy & Jim Blalock and crew for the ham, turkeys (smoked & fried) and roast pork. Thanks also to all who brought covered dishes
and desserts, they were delicious. The Shrine Club
looked great. Thanks to the Shriners who
furnished the Christmas Tree and to Ruth Jordan, Entertainment Chairperson, the decorating committee and
kitchen crew for their hard work.
Raffle: Steve
Blalock won the “Basket of Cheer”(for the second time). David Chapman had a great raffle with
some very nice items (3 Auto GPS, 2 Rods & reels, Personel EPIRB and
several more). Great job David! Be there for next raffle.
Membership Drawing: At the
Christmas Party, the $100 winner was Ralph Wolfe (for the second time). There were several names drawn (James Costeria & Shawn Arnold) who
were not there. It pays to attend the
meetings and parties. Be at the next meeting
for the $100 drawing. You
must be present to win!
Membership Information: Membership year is June 1st thru May 31st. Dues are $50.00 for a family and $30.00 for

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE: (January)
I hope everyone had a happy and safe Christmas and New Year holiday. Our Board is working to improve membership participation in 2009. I hope everyone comes and joins us in this year’s events. Without membership participation, WE DON’T HAVE A CLUB.
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for
bringing all of your covered dishes for our Christmas party; also in the same
breath, I want to thank each of the members who worked to make this party such
a success. In my opinion, there are
several persons whom deserve special Thank You’s: Jim and Rene Blalock for
their “Basket of Cheer”; Ruth & John Jordan for setting up and preparing a
lot of the food for the dinner;
Coming up…. Get ready for our Spring Kickoff Tournament (February – March), Leroy Kinlaw will update us about the tournament this month. Tom Buckhalter has lined up a speaker from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to speak to us about new and upcoming fishing regulations; this is one of the things you have been asking for, so come to the meeting, and bring a friend.
Last, I want to talk about e-mail addresses. We are really working to go paperless this year to save on labor and expenses. Jimmy sent a sample e-mail newsletter out; we need your input as to the success of this mail-out, and how it worked. Talk to us about it.
I hope your fishing lines
stay tight!
